Fishing is Fun!

Waiting, waiting, still waiting. We didn't catch anything this trip, but Chris and Dee are pros now. These pics were taken in '09. This past summer they caught all sorts of lake fish and Mississippi fish! We never did catch catch a muskie!

mmmmmm..........

We're under attack!!

One morning during the summer, Dee & I came outside to find our car covered with poop! It was disgusting!!!! It was all over the neighbors car too.

Can't Forget Josie!

By now, you all know about my obsession with my dog Josie. Here are some recent photos of her cuteness. Squeeze her!

It's a Lake Monster!!

During the summer, Minnie the Lake Monster moves from lake to lake. At the very end of the summer I found her at Lake Nokomis near our house.

Daelian had already gone home, so she didn't get to see her. Dee, here's the proof that she exists!

Chris's Law School Buddies (of course they're cute girls!)

Chris has made some great friends at school. Our favorites are Becky & Angelica! Angelica & Chris even have the same birthday. Last month we all went out to celebrate. Becky's husband Pedro and their cute baby Maelo came along and Angelica's bf Hector came out as well!

I'm Back!!

Hello to the 4 people who read our blog! The last time I wrote we had just moved to Minneapolis and now we are in our last year! Chris graduates from law school this May and we are heading back to Utah. I am very excited to move back home, but also sad to leave the home and friends we have made in Minnesoh-ta! So friends & family, you only have 6 months to make it out here for a visit. We've had a fun year and I've posted some of the highlights.
Daelian was here for the summer and she made the most of it with summer camps and a visit from Margo, Austin, and Lauren. She participated in an a 2 week acting camp. She has decided that she would like to be an actress, but she promised me that she won't end up like Lindsay Lohan! At the end of the acting camp, the kids performed for all the families. Daelian did a great job. Her only complaint was that she wasn't given enough lines. She loves to be the center of attention!

The theme of the camp was PARIS!

We spent a lot of time outdoors. The weather was really great this year. Daelian loves checking out all the parks and lakes.

Chris spotted this motorcycle hearse that he thought was pretty awesome. He loves anything that has to do with motorcycles. Dee got her own pink helmet, so she can take sloooow rides with Chris around the lakes. Chris went on a ride this past Sunday with 300 other bikers. I don't care for the bike, but she isn't going anywhere so I just have to get used to it. How did I end up being married to a man with a motorcycle and boa constrictor?

Daelian was also in a Bookworms camp and she wrote her very own book. She really enjoys reading and she just finished the last Harry Potter book. Too bad she won't be here to go see part 1 of the final Harry Potter movie with me. Guess good old dad with have to go in her stead.

Dee, like almost all tweens, loves vampires and werevolves. She has publicly declared that she is Team Edward. Nordstrom had a pre-screening event of Eclipse and we were lucky enough to score some tickets. She got her make-up done and even ended up on the morning news! I'll have to try and post it up here for you all to see.

Team Edward or Team Jacob, how can a girl choose?

Dee's favorite activity is going to the Mall of America amusement park. She gets to go every time Austin comes for a visit in the summer and for her birthday, which usually falls on or near her spring break trip to see us.

The Log Chute is Austin & Daelian's favorite. They've been on it at least 50 times, if not more. They ride it so many times that they think up different poses for the camera. My favorite were the shots of them pretending to be asleep during the 25 feet drop. Sadly, I didn't take a picture of those.

This summer we also had a tornado scare. At about 7:00 in the evening, dark clouds rolled in and the sky had that green color. Chris & Dee were at Blockbuster when the tornado sirens started and I was so worried!! Luckily, a tornado didn't touch down near our house.
